  • Summer Spiritual Direction Group

Recent data from the Barna Group says that 65% of pastors admit that they sometimes or frequently experience loneliness (a 20%+ increase from 2015). I’m sure this is no surprise to any of us, as leadership often feels tiring, isolating, and lonely.

In an attempt to make space for clergy & ministry leaders, spiritual director & pastor Holly Porter Phillips will be offering spiritual direction groups this summer. Groups of 4-6 attendees will meet together (via zoom) to bear witness to the workings of God in their own lives and those in the group. Each hour-and-a-half session will include a guided time of centering, time for sharing, silence, and prayer.

    More Info:
    4-6 people, $180 / person* for 6 sessions
    Thursdays 6/12, 6/26, 7/17, 7/31, 8/14, & 8/28, 10-11:30am CT via Zoom

  • Preparing for the ordinary

    T. H. Warren writes: it is in the dailiness of the Christian faith – the making the bed, the doing the dishes, the praying for our enemies … the quiet, the small – that God’s transformation takes root and grows.

In Preparing for the Ordinary, a lunchtime mini-retreat for Ordinary Time, Holly will guide you through an exploration of the ways in which our ordinary lives are fertile ground for transformation. Join her on June 12th from 12pm to 1:30pm CT for the virtual mini-retreat. The cost is $15. (If cost is a barrier, please reach out to Holly directly.)
